Local Spotlight: Benson Brings Kings & Queens to the Courts

It's time for another local spotlight, and this time for me, it couldn't get more local. My friend and fellow Valley High School graduate, Ian Benson, is making a difference in the community that made him the man he is today. A former Valley basketball star, Benson now aims to give adults and children an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game through his program "Kings & Queens of the Court." At the end of the day, his purpose is to get kids involved with skill work earlier opposed to when they reach the middle school levels, and play against strong competition in a group setting. If there's any indication on how much both kids & adults are loving the program, it's in the pictures below:
