I'm not sure if there's really anything new to see here. For years we've known that Steelers' future Hall of Fame Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a tendency to call his own plays at the line of scrimmage. His teammates have admitted it on multiple occasions, including most recently his Center for the majority of this past season. When asked what stands out the most about his one year with Big Ben, Steelers Center Kendrick Green told us that he was good at "keeping us all gelled together."
"Ben is a super smart football player. We'd get on the field and he just kind of was dialing stuff up."
Green said that Ben creating his own plays was the craziest part of playing with him. Listen to the interview above for a great story about the first time Roethlisberger reached out to Green after he was drafted.
