There probably isn't anyone in Pittsburgh who knows new Steelers' QB Mitch Trubisky better than Levi Wallace. The two former Bills were both signed this offseason by the Steelers', and will both play pivotal roles in the success of the team moving forward. Trubisky was signed by Buffalo prior to last season to backup superstar signal-caller Josh Allen.
In our interview with Wallace (listen above!), he stated multiple times that the drop off between Allen and Trubisky would not have been as steep as you might have thought if Mitch was forced to play:
"He picked us apart in practice week in and week out," said Wallace.
We also asked Wallace if the offensive game plan would have changed in Buffalo if Trubisky had to relieve Allen:
"The guy is super agile, and anytime he (Trubisky) was relieving Josh, he did the exact same thing. There was no let-down from 17 to 10. It was truly unbelievable. Mitch can move the same as Josh Allen."
That's incredibly high-praise that is sure to knock the socks off of some of yinz. Speaking of socks, we also touched on that subject, along with many other fun topics with Levi Wallace in the episode above. Make sure to listen to the full episode of the podcast and subscribe!
