The Pittsburgh Panthers are coming off an 11-3 season, but will have to replace quarterback Kenny Pickett. USC transfer Kedon Slovis will likely replace Pickett this year, and he will do with all five offensive linemen returning, so Slovis should be well protected. Along with Slovis, receiver Konata Mumpfield is a newcomer to the Panthers roster. Let's help you meet them here:
Slovis transferred from USC; as a freshman, Slovis threw for 3,502 yards, 30 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. However, he struggled to replicate his freshman season. His passer rating dropped from 167.6 as a freshman to 132.7 as a third-year player in Graham Harrell's air raid system. Slovis started three years at USC, throwing for 7,576 yards and 58 touchdowns with a 68.4% completion percentage.
Slovis should benefit from Frank Cignetti Jr.'s offense, which focuses on the run game. If Pittsburgh can run the ball well, it could open up the passing game for Slovis and the play-action pass. The Panthers will have more of a pro-style offense which will help get Slovis back on track and raise his draft stock.

WR Konata Mumpfiel
Pittsburgh lost their top receiver Jordan Addison to USC; he caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns last year. Addison also won the Fred Biletnikoff Award. This is where Mumpfield will come in; he caught 63 passes for 751 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman at Akron.
Mumpfield is a shifty receiver that uses a lot of moves to get open. Mumpfield uses a combination of head fakes, body control, fluid hips, and change-of-direction ability to shake defensive players out of their skin. He can attack leverage. He can be physical.
Mumpfield could benefit from Pittsburgh's new offense and see a lot of one-on-one coverage to utilize his skill set. He should be very effective in the slot.
With Slovis and Mumpfield coming to Pittsburgh, they should develop a solid quarterback-receiver duo. As shifty as Mumpfield is, he should be able to get open quickly and could become Slovis' go-to receiver next season. It will be interesting to see how fast Slovis and Mumpfield gain chemistry together.
