Big Ben's 100 Best TD Passes: 50-26

454 career passing touchdowns, regular and postseason. 64,000 career passing yards. Two Super Bowl rings. Of course, the name of the game is winning, and Ben Roethlisberger was a prolific winner of big football games throughout his career. It doesn’t hurt that he also had the stats to back it up.

But as is often uttered in NFL history, records are made to be broken. Someday, a quarterback will stand behind center in the black and gold and go on to shatter Big Ben’s career statistics. Perhaps there’s a rookie quarterback in this year’s draft class who can ascend to new heights in the Steelers organization. Maybe one day we’ll be looking at Malik Willis or Kenny Pickett as the standard-bearer for all Steelers quarterbacks. Maybe we simply have no clue, and we’ll just have to wait and see.

Ultimately, there is only one Big Ben. For 18 seasons, Ben defined what a Steelers quarterback should be: big, physical, tough, mobile, strong-armed. And in spite of early career struggles, Ben turned his life and career around to become an ideal Pittsburgher in general. Whoever follows in Ben’s footsteps would be wise to follow his example and digest as much film on him as possible. Whether they eclipse Ben’s mark of 454 career passing touchdowns or fall just short, let’s hope they have the courage and determination to one day step out of that looming shadow and make their own mark in the league.
