Breaking: Steelers to Sign QB Mitch Trubisky

Steelers' General Manager Kevin Colbert made it evident that the team would bring in two quarterbacks this offseason. You can check off the first. Welcome to Mitchburgh, PA.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reported today that former Bears and Bills QB, Mitch Trubisky, will head to the Steel City on what will be a 2-year deal. The financial terms of the contract have not yet been revealed.

Trubisky had a much-maligned career with the Chicago Bears prior to signing with the Bills last offseason to backup Josh Allen. In 2018, Trubisky was a Pro-bowler with the Bears, a campaign in which he threw for 3,223 yards, 24 TDs and 12 interceptions. In his four seasons with the Bears, a dysfunctional organization during his time, Mitch went 29-21 as a starter, and led the Bears to two playoff berths.

Now, he'll get a chance to battle for the starting QB position, (he should win going away), with Mason Rudolph, and a potential draft pick. He will also have the chance to ultimately be the successor to Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger. No pressure, Mitch.
