The last thing anyone expected was for the Steelers to win convincingly this past Sunday night, with Russell Wilson being made starter under much scrutiny from the fans and front office. But this is why Mike Tomlin is the coach and no one else. Scoring 32+ points in back-to-back games for the first time since 2020, the Steelers make a statement in their dominant second-half performance versus the Jets. Down 15-6 at one point, scoring 31 unanswered points would spell a win for Pittsburgh as they stretch their record to 5-2 in a tight first-place race with Baltimore, and with Cincinnati starting to catch up slowly with three wins of their last four games, winning out going into the bye week is essential to keep up the success! But for now, who made the week seven victory possible?

Honorable Mentions:

Najee Harris - 21 carries, 102 yards, 1 TD

Pat Freiermuth - 2 rec, 51 yards

Van Jefferson - 2 rec, 15 yards, 1 TD

#3: Russell Wilson - 16/29, 264 passing yards, 2 passing TDs, 3 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD

Number three for number three! Wilson was made the starter despite Justin Fields having a SOLID first six games with a 4-2 start, 66.3% passes completed, 1,106 passing yards, five passing TDs, one int, and five rushing TDs. But Mike Tomlin decided Mr. Unlimited would start, and this move would be met with A LOT of animosity. Despite this, Wilson would ball out and shoot the Jets down, a solid performance that gave the Steelers a big win!

#2: Beanie Bishop Jr - 7 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 pass defenses

Have a day, Mr. Bishop! The undrafted free agent picked off a Super Bowl-winning QB twice, and the Steelers scored off both picks! The rookie is earning his role in the secondary with an impressive offseason that led to success on the field, as he was VITAL in the win versus the Jets. Looking forward to having you around, Beanie!

#1: George Pickens - 5 rec, 111 yards, 1 TD

Making his second appearance in the top three and his first time in the #1 spot, Yinzers and Yinzees, it's George Pickens! Pickens couldn't be stopped as he made many excellent catches, caught his first touchdown since Week 15 last year, and cracked the top ten in receiving yards for the 2024 campaign with 474 (9th in the league). Pickens is living his best life this season as he enjoys the company of both QBs and proving he is more than capable of leading a receiving room!

Next week, the Steelers face the 2-5 New York Giants in Pittsburgh for a Monday night showcase! Despite the record, the Giants have proven they can ball, with rookie receiver Malik Nabers proving to be a problem week in and week out and 2-1 on the road. Can the Steelers beat two New York teams in back-to-back games? Will Mike Tomlin start Wilson again? Will the Steelers play down to their competition? Probably. See yinz next week!
