On Sunday, February 12th, the Kelce Brothers made football history as they became the first brothers to compete against each other in the Super Bowl. Some have even dubbed it “the Kelce Bowl.” Here are 12 more exciting moments in Super Bowl history.

1)    Lamar Hunt, founder of the Kansas City Chiefs, created the name Super Bowl for the Championship game. He was part of a committee that was making plans for how the game will be played. Other names they considered for the championship game were the “Pro Bowl,” the “Big One,” the “World Series of Football” and even the “AFL-NFL World Championship Game.”

2)    Frank Gifford getting ready to broadcast live from Super Bowl I on January 15, 1967.

3)    The first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967, and tickets cost $6. The Green Bay Packer defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 35-10

4)    The Kansas City Chiefs waiting to take the field to play the Packers in Super Bowl I.

5)    Len Dawson of the Kansas City Chiefs, having a cigarette break during halftime of the first Super Bowl.

6)    Green Bay Quarterback, Bart Starr, during Super Bowl I. He was voted the game MVP.

7)    The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V on January 17, 1971. This was the first Super Bowl to use Roman numerals. Lamar Hunt created the system of using Roman numerals to avoid confusion since the game is played the year following the championship victory.

8)    Charlie Berry, of the Pottsville Maroons, led the team to win the NFL Championship game in 1925. They were later stripped of the title by NFL Commissioner Joseph Carr. He awarded the NFL Championship title to Chicago Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals). To this day Pottsville defends their victory title despite the NFL refusing to overturn Carr’s decision.

9)    Rhode Island's team, the Providence Steam Rollers, played from 1919 to 1933. They were the first New England team to win the NFL Championships.

10)  A team photo of the Rock Island Independents in 1919. The team from Rock Island, Illinois, won the Championship Game in 1920.

11)  The Decatur Staleys in a game against the Rock Island Independents (striped shirts). The Staleys won the championship game in 1921. A year later, they became the Chicago Bears.

12)  The Pittsburgh Steelers had their first Super Bowl win on January 12, 1975. They defeated the Vikings with a score of 16-6. The quarterback for the Steelers was Terry Bradshaw and the Vikings quarterback was Fran Tarkenton.  (Title photo!)
